Taylor grew up in the landlocked deserts of New Mexico, but her heart was always drawn to the ocean?s serene beauty. Water has always been her sanctuary?a place of peace and grounding. This pull eventually led her to leave the arid landscapes of her childhood and settle along the rugged Northern California coast. Her freediving journey began in 2019 after the birth of her daughter, during a time when she faced severe postpartum depression and the isolating challenges of motherhood during a global pandemic. In this difficult period, Taylor discovered freediving, and from her very first class, she was captivated. The sport became an ethereal escape where she could quiet her mind, find solace, and reconnect with herself. Freediving not only brought her peace but also revealed a mental strength and resilience she hadn?t realized she possessed. Now, as an instructor, Taylor is passionate about sharing the transformative power of freediving with others, especially those navigating mental health challenges. Her mission is to help others find empowerment, tranquility, and self-discovery beneath the waves.
